Match reports for week ending the 29th of November 2015.
ORIEL HOUSE HOTEL U13 DIVISION 5.
Passage 3 St Marys A 2.
Well done to our u13 boys who beat St Mary’s this morning 3-2 to maintain their 100% record in the league and strengthen their position at the top of the league. Nerves were shot to bits during this 5 goal thriller.
Another 2 goals from Destiny and the winner from the penalty spot by the unsung hero Jack Hanlon and some brilliant saves from Fionn O Mahoney earned a hard fought win that sends the lads home smiling again.
Well done to all the lads and managers John and Ger!
Schoolgirls U14 Premier Division.
Passage 3 Kinsale 3.
The girls played under lights against Kinsale in what was a enthralling game. Passage dominated the game but at the break it was 1-1 as the girls just could not take enough of the many chances they created.
They were caught on the counter by a determined Kinsale side who took a 3-2 lead deep into the second half. The girls never gave up and got an equaliser their play deserved. They nearly won it at the death but for a brilliant top corner save by the Kinsale keeper.
So in a game we should have won and could have lost we’ll gladly take the draw (3-3) and move on. Our goalscorers on the night were Niamh Lester, who got two and Lauren Egbuloniu .
