New Coach Development Programme:
Sporting organisations all over the country are dependent on the goodwill of their members to deliver a valuable service to their communities. They need volunteers to do their fund raising, to organise their events and, crucially, they need coaches to look after their players – young and old.
In order to increase the quality and quantity of the coaches with our club Passage AFC are, with the support of a (Mentor), establishing a Coach Development Programme (CDP). The programme will enable a new member, player or parent with no experience/knowledge to get involved with the schoolboy/girl section of our club and through training, mentoring and experience develop into a qualified and experienced club coach with 2 seasons.
Entry Requirement
The only entry requirement is the participant must be a club member, aged at least 16 years old and demonstrate good enthusiasm, reliability and a willingness to learn. Each participant must complete a 6 weeks approval period. This is an experience-based programme of coaching activities, which focuses on developing a small number of participants each year who are interested in developing their coaching skills in the context of the club’s academy teams (players from 6 years old upwards).
