Match report for week ending the 21st of February 2016.

CORK SCHOOLBOYS LEAGUE DENNEHYS HEALTH & FITNESS U15 DIVISION 3.

Riverstown 2 Passage 4.

A long awaited return to league action for our Under 15 team today, playing for the first time since the 24th October.

They could be excused for being a bit rusty and it certainly looked that way when they went a goal down after 3 minutes. But by the seventh minute they were 2-1 ahead with goals from Cillian Quinlan and David O’Leary after great work by Conor Coughlan and Adam Kanza.

In the 21st minute Cillian Quinlan made it 3-1 with an assist from Luke Hanlon. Riverstown pulled a goal back to make it 3-2 with a few minutes until half time. Just before the break Adam Kanza made it 4-2 after some nice interplay between Jack Heffernan and Liam Power.

It was a fantastic match with plenty of chances and lots of fighting spirit. It’s good to be back!!
