13 Schoolboys Div 2 – Douglas Hall 0 – Passage 4

Passage U13’s travelled to Douglas Hall in this keenly anticipated Div 2 league game. This was a very exciting match from the first whistle. Passage attacked down the right hand side of the pitch Liam Quinn beat the full back and rifled a unstoppable shot into the top of the Douglas Hall net, 1 min gone Passage 1 up. The goal settled Passage into the game and they started to string passes together opening up the Douglas Hall defence on numerous occasions Eoghan Mcinery and Noah Swoizki combined in a slick passing move and Eoghan coolly slotted the ball past the Douglas Hall goalkeeper 16minutes gone Passage 2 up. After the restart the backline lead by Jamie McCathy ,Caiden Snow and Noah White deflected several dangerous raids from Douglas Hall with Jake Walsh behind them barking out the orders to his defence to get them in the right position to block the shot’s.

Passage started the second half just like the first half with the midfield trio of Brian Linehan, Nicky Lyons and Scott Moynihan dominating providing a great platform to attack from. 5 mins into the second half Tomas Hanlon put through a great pass for Liam Quinn to strike low into the bottom left hand corner of the net 35 minutes gone Passage 3 up. Dillion Meagher and Ciarian Taaffe were now creating chance after chance for the Passage frontline with Jamie Barns holding the ball up well for the support play to arrive. On the 52minute Eoghnan McInery got his deserved second with great build up play from the goalkeeper through midfield and Jack Barry releasing Eoghan to fire home his second.
